A 3-page comic made with ink (cover colored digitally) for my materials and techniques class at SCAD.
The character is going back home from their dead end job and finds out their roommate is being overtaken by a cosmic deity. It would be a continuing series.
Scarlet Butcher
A 5-page comic with no dialogue, made digitally for my environments and props class at SCAD. The assignment was to make 4 pages with interesting environments. I ended up doing 5.
The character used was Scarlet Butcher, from my ongoing project Unmagical girls. I had a lot of fun with the panel layouts and the camera angles for this one.
Darla And Derrick 1
Heavily inspired by the coming out of the Frankenstein movie (despite not having watched it yet) and the Moon Knight series, I decided to create an original character that was a frankenstein type creature that has a brain with two identities/people trapped inside, due to two separate brains being used to construct it's own. This is the first comic I made about it.
It was interesting to manage dialog this time with the paginated format, as it was much more limiting than the scroll where I could put the speech bubbles wherever. Still, for a first time, I think I went well and will continue to practice as I create more comics related to this.
I will also adjust designs as I progress, but I do really like Darla-Derrick's design (the monster).
